The life and adventures of Blubicon...

This is the Story of my life. WIth some gaps. Major and minor. I don't blog every day. I blog when the feelings hit me. I write about me, about my daughter, about books I read and love. I blog about whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like blogging. I love the act of putting "pen to paper" or rather of putting fingers to keys.

control!

You can't control everything, God put your hair on your head to remind you of that.

Just enough Light.

I have a new book. It is called, Just Enough Light For the Step I'm On. It was written by Stormie Omartian. On the first page she has written something that really made sence to me today. I would like to repeat it for you.

Just Enough Light.
Sometimes only the step i'm on,
Or the very next one ahead,
is all that is illuminated for me.
God gives just the amount of light I need
for the exact moment I need it.
At those times I walk in surrender to faith,
unable to see the future
and not fully comprehending the past.
And because it is God who has given me
what light I have,
I know I must reject the fear and
doubt that threaten to overtake me.
I must determine to be content where
I am, and allow God to get me where I need to go.
I walk forward,
One step at a time,
fully trusting that
the light God sheds
is absolutely Sufficient.

Sometimes I wonder at how easily I forget that last part. The simple fact that "the light God sheds is ABSOLUTELY Sufficient."
So I am holding onto the promise that all is sufficient in my life.

I kissed a frog today, It died.

Dad caught a frog today for Sami to play with. She made me kiss it. It didn't turn into a prince, It died instead. Of course, it was way after I went to work that it died so it may not have been my fault. :) the last picture is the cacoon that our catepiller turned into....
