Picnic at the Park with Arthur

First let me say I am not really sure who Arthur is. We did have a picnic today, But it was with Hannah, Emily, Joeseph, Kayleigh, Timmy, Caleb, and most of their Adults. Gamma, Sami and I were there too. We had a really really really good time. We stood in line for ever to see Elmo then just as we got up there he had to take a brake. So we got to see cookie monster instead. Sami loved cookie monster. She went wild when she saw him. It was so precious. I took a picture of Gamma holding her her smile was so adorable. I had a great day overall. We played an ran around in circles. Tammy asked me if I was having more fun or if Sami was. I think at that point I was. Seriously though, We say Maya and Megel (dont' know about the spelling on that one). We saw elmo from a distance. a big long distance. We saw Digit too. Digit is from cyberspace I believe. We saw a black and white dog that was just a dog as far as I know. He was cool though. Sami walked up to him and
barked. She is just so adorable. After we split up from the Kishes and the Ham's we waited in line to see clifford. We almost made it. We would have they said except a Girl passed out from the heat and they had to hold the line. I pray that she is doing well. We actually got a very good view of clifford from a distance inside of the tent. When Sami saw him she yelled, "clifford" it was cute but not as cute as when Kayleigh saw him. She jumped and waved and giggled and had a very very good time. I felt sorry for De who was holding her on her shoulders. De got a pretty good beating from that but she enjoyed it. Kayleigh was having a great time. After we were done there we walked to the back of the tent and saw Arthur leave his tent. Digit leave his tent and Clifford leave his tent. Oh and we got Clifford to sign his book that Sami plays with all of the time. that was the coolest. Then we got to meet the girls who played elmo and digit all day. They were so cool. We got "elmo's" picture and Didgits signiture. Then we rode the metro home. We got the the station where the trains park and they made us get off cause they were going to stop running that train for the evening. So we waited for the second train. We just got on the second train and got the strollers situated etc. when the engineer says ladies and gentlemen sorry to inform you but this train is now out of service so we had to get back off and wait for another train. It was a very funny moment.
Anyway the day was great we loved it all around. Glad I got to spend time with my family and friends.
HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY BENJAMIN WAYNE

sept 29, 2006
Ben's 19th birthday party was last night at Cici's pizza in S. county. It was ok. He had a really good time I think. Of course, I have never known Ben not to have a good time. He wanted to go to Hooters but mom said Aunt angie wouldn't go to hooters. Ben's response to this was that "there might be some hot guys at hooters" mom said, "aunt angie has Uncle Darrell." bens says, "but aunt Vella the hot guys may be hotter than uncle darrell." Aunt Angie says there are no guys hotter than uncle darrell to her. :) I have such a great family. It is so nice to be able to love and be loved by such a large amount of ppl. I couldn't live without them. I know people do it all the time on their own but I am so blessed. If I stopped to think about what each and every one of my "family" members meant to me I would just sit around for years trying to get through the whole list. Uncles family. Uncle Gary, Uncle darrell Aunt angie and their kids and grandkids. The Kish family. Allen and Monica and their family. The Moore's Tammy and Mike Ham. Mike and Tammy Hermann. Just to many I couldn't name them all. Besides this si supposed to be about Ben. Who is a special blessing in his own way. He always brings a smile to my face. I may not always know why, but he does. He is such a gentle good soul. I love him a lot. I didn't get a picture of him on his birthday though. I wonder how I pulled that one off? I am sooo goofy sometimes. LOVE YOU BEN

One happy Gamma
Sami and Gamma working on Gamma's prize quilt.
It is like she knew what she was doing.

My mother will not even let me touch this quilt, but when she went to the rest room last nigth and Sami had crawled up into her seat and had her thimble on. She sent me all the way from the basement to the top floor of the house to get my camera so I could take pictures. Sami looks just like gamma does when she is quilting. She holds her hands the same way and everything. The other amazing thing I feel I should point out is mom is at work and I am using her new embroidery machine to make patches for sami's fall coveralls. this has never happened before either.
Praytell

Praytell is my dolly. She was my mommy's dolly before she was my dolly. Praytell is probably the uggliest dolly I have ever seen in my whole entire life. For some reason I am pretty attached to praytell. When I in herited her from granny a few years ago she was dressed in the ugliest red outfit I have ever seen. There are two stories behind praytell's outfit. The first is that it was uncle Elvins. The second it was bought at a yard sale. If it was yours Uncle, I am very sorry you were so picked on as a child. So Praytell has sat on shelf in our living room out of Sami's reach since she could walk. Yesterday I decided what I was going to put on Praytell so that maybe she would not be so ugly. I put Sami's strawberry shortcake coveralls on her. Today Sami played with her broken toes and all. Then we put Praytell back on the shelf by her Samantha doll and let her rest. Maybe when Sami has her own daughter The doll my great grandmother let my mother play with will be hers to play with too.
Why did this matter? beats me.

beau

My sister had a golden retriever named beau. He was a beautiful dog. We have a wonderful picture of them sitting on our piano. Last night when Sami was playing the piano she caught sight of that picture. She stopped playing then reached for beau and wanted to play with woof woof. It was so sweet. of course she didnt' say anything about her auntie kk. Just woof woof.

The thing about being a mom....
Sami and Dakota

This is a big woof woof
Dakota put on a sadle for the first time for me.

Thing 1: you cannot let your daughter know you are petrified of dogs.
Thing 2: you have to be ready to change at any moment
Thing 3: you have to accept things that you are not sure you want to accept
thing 4: you might have to learn a thing or two about mini horses.
Aunt KK look at what I have on.

Ok so I did take a few pictures yesterday. One or two sunday too. I am going to post them here for the world to see. I love my baby girl. And she loves me. We are a perfect pair. My auntie KK and Auntie Susan bought me this blue basketball outfit. I outgrew the shoes she bought me but the shirt and pants still fit. (sorry timmy you can't have them yet) I was excited to see they still fit her. Karen bought her such nice clothes last winter when she was home. I was hoping they would still fit her. Gamma bought her the new blue and white nikes to go with the outfit. I bought the diaper... :)
