The life and adventures of Blubicon...

This is the Story of my life. WIth some gaps. Major and minor. I don't blog every day. I blog when the feelings hit me. I write about me, about my daughter, about books I read and love. I blog about whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like blogging. I love the act of putting "pen to paper" or rather of putting fingers to keys.

a 9-11 tribute.

WHOEVER WROTE THIS SHOULD STEP FORWARD AND CLAIM IT! THE WORDS ARE POWERFUL:TWO THOUSAND ONE, NINE ELEVEN (2001-911) Two thousand one, nine elevenThree thousand plus arrive in heaven As they pass through the gate, Thousands more appear in wait A bearded man with stovepipe hat Steps forward saying, "Lets sit, lets chat" They settle down in seats of clouds A man named Martin shouts out proud "I have a dream!" and once he did The Newcomer said, "Your dream still lives." Groups of soldiers in blue and gray Others in khaki, and green then say "We're from Bull Run, Yorktown, the Maine" The Newcomer said, "You died not in vain." From a man on sticks one could hear "The only thing we have to fear. The Newcomer said, "We know the rest, Trust us sir, we've passed that test." "Courage doesn't hide in caves You can't bury freedom, in a grave," The Newcomers had heard this voice before A distinct Yankees twang from Hyannisport shores A silence fell within the mist Somehow the Newcomer knew that this Meant time had come for her to say What was in the hearts of the five thousand plus that day "Back on Earth, we wrote reports, Watched our children play in sports Worked our gardens, sang our songs Went to church and clipped coupons We smiled, we laughed, we cried, we fought Unlike you, great we're not" The tall man in the stovepipe hat Stood and said, "Don't talk like that! Look at your country, look and see You died for freedom, just like me" Then, before them all appeared a scene Of rubbled streets and twisted beams Death, destruction, smoke and dust And people working just 'cause they must Hauling ash, lifting stones, Knee deep in hell, but not alone "Look! Blackman, Whiteman, Brownman, Yellowman Side by side helping their fellow man!" So said Martin, as he watched the scene "Even from nightmares, can be born a dream." Down below three firemen raise The colors high into ashen haze The soldiers above had seen it before On Iwo Jima back in '45 The man on sticks studied everything closely Then shared his perceptions on what he saw mostly "I see pain, I see tears, I see sorrow -- but I don't see fear." "You left behind husbands and wives Daughters and sons and so many lives Are suffering now because of this wrong But look very closely. You're not really gone. All of those people, even those who've never met you All of their lives, they'll never forget you Don't you see what has happened? Don't you see what you've done? You've brought them together, together as one. With that the man in the stovepipe hat said "Take my hand," and from there he led Three thousand plus heroes, Newcomers to heaven On this day, two thousand one, nine eleven Author UNKNOWN
September 11, 2006, will soon be approaching. On this day, please wear red, white and blue to work or school to show your support for those who lost their lives on 9~11~01 and to honor the heroes who worked to save them and the families left behind. At noon your time on September 11, 2006, no matter where you are or what you are doing, stop, put your hand on your heart, and say the Pledge of Allegiance out loud or to yourself and say a prayer for our nation. In addition, for those of us who drive to work, please drive with your headlights on to also give honor and remembrance to those who perished on September 11th. If all of us do this together in every time zone round the world, we will have a powerful chain of thoughts surrounding us. Please keep this going to your friends and family. By September 11, 2006 hopefully enough people will have read this and will join together in unity. Nancy Riemann Product Sales Manager

the main attraction at the zoo

This is the reason we went to the zoo. We wanted to see the baby elephant. She was really cute. She actually held my attention for about 30 seconds. Mommy Gamma and Gampa enjoyed her longer though.

more zoo pictures.

mommy loves dragonflies

They tried to make me eat a grape snowcone.
We got to ride our second Woo Woo for the week. it was cool.
Enjoying the train ride

Gampa and mommy say I need to sit still. This is so much fun.

Next we rode the carousel.

Sami and Gampa had a great time on the carousel

Sami was literally running circles around gampa
Samantha had to stop and dance to the music when the carousel started playing.

Sami and Gampa danced to the music at the carousel. they had a really good time.
Sami tried on the elephant ears. Then we left for home. She slept almost as soon as her had hit the car seat. We decided to go to california pizza kitchen instead of straight home. She had a nice power nap on the way.

Monday sept 4 2006

As if I didn't write enough earlier today. I figure I will not have enough time to write tomorrow. We are going to go to the zoo. today wasn't much of a day fun wise. Sami slept till 9:30 and then went back to sleep around 12. She slept till after 3:30 the second time around. It was a lot of fun though after she got up. I asked her if she was hungry and she said yes. I said do you want taco bell and before I could say anything else she whipped her passy out of her mouth and stuck it in mine. I gave her her soft taco and then we went to the church picnic. We had a good time. She got so excited when she saw Kayleigh. She kept saying k-leigh. It was cute. She and Kayleigh played on the jungle gym and the swings together a lot. Then I carried them around for awhile. Boy are my arms tired now. :) It was worth it though. I took her picture with GG at grandpa Hermann's tree. Then we went to oberweis with Uncle and Ben to get her some milk and us some ice cream. Uncle Sure loves that baby. It is soo cool to see. She can say Uncle now too and she knows who he is. We drove out the other night and he was laying in the reclinere and she looked in his window and said, Uncle. Usually about two seconds after she says uncle she says ben. That makes ben very very happy. Anyway i have some more pictures to organize and I have to be up early in the morning. I will type some more and upload some picts tomorrow.

Sept 3, 2006 part 1

Check out my tongue. I am like Gampa! I started the day playing with my little people.

Then I told mommy that I wanted to go on a train ride. So gampa found a train and we went for a ride.

I was taking pictures of mommy taking pictures of us.

Sunday morning while we were eating breakfast gamma asked me what I wanted to do. I said loud and clear, "go ride woo woo" So after breakfast we went to Pacific, Mo and rode a WOO WOO. I had a blast. When we got there we were getting out of the jeep and I saw my camera. I begged gamma to give it to me and I carried it around all day. I put it in my purse and out of my purse and I took pictures and Mommy said she was very proud of me.
