The life and adventures of Blubicon...

This is the Story of my life. WIth some gaps. Major and minor. I don't blog every day. I blog when the feelings hit me. I write about me, about my daughter, about books I read and love. I blog about whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like blogging. I love the act of putting "pen to paper" or rather of putting fingers to keys.

The power ball lottery got huge huge huge the other day. I was given $10 worth of tickets. All night at work People talked about it, and what they would do if they won. For some reason it was a fun night. We all knew we wouldn't win. But there was that tiny tiny shard of hope, that I would win. I was asked what I would do if I won. The first thing I would do (it was over 300 mil) was pay my mom, dad, and Big sister out of debt. With the stipulation that if they got back into debt they would have to get back out of it on their own. The second thing I would do was set a mil back for Sami. Let Jim take care of it and let her live without the worry of money hanging over her head at least for a while. I am not really sure how much debt my family is in but I figured I would have some left for me still so The third thing I would do was buy me a Blue Rubicon and put a 4 in lift under it and set it on 33in tires. Then I would set myself up in a small photography business. Oh what fun it was to dream. Of course, those dreams never came true, but I was still able to spend that night in fantasy land. It was a good night too. It taught me that I can never give up on my dreams. Everything is better when there is hope involved. There is always hope. Sometimes we have to look a little harder for it than others, but hope is always there. I believe Emily Dickenson ( Correct me if i'm worng Kake) said, "That hope is a thing with wings." So take some time today and spread your wings. Hope and enjoy what you have in life.
Sweet dreams

"Hope" is the thing with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
And sings the tune without the words –
And never stops – at all –
And sweetest – in the Gale – is heard –
And sore must be the storm –
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm –

I've heard it in the chillest land –
And on the strangest Sea –
    Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb – of Me.

    But perhaps a better one:

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined.

Yes, there is a carousal on the mall. There are an awful lot of other things to do here as well. I thought you wanted to drive across/through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel.

Yes I do want to drive across through the tunnel. I am taking pictures of Sami on Carousels to hang in my new room is why I asked. I didn't know the whole poem. I just remembered the first line and a paraphrase of the second. That is strange to me that I remember two of her poems in just a few weeks.
