The life and adventures of Blubicon...

This is the Story of my life. WIth some gaps. Major and minor. I don't blog every day. I blog when the feelings hit me. I write about me, about my daughter, about books I read and love. I blog about whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like blogging. I love the act of putting "pen to paper" or rather of putting fingers to keys.

Have I told you about my week?

This has been one crazy week. I had to take Ms. Libby into the shop becasue she was having a few problems. The only problem that I have with my dealer is that they give you loaner vehicles with over a hundred thousand miles on them and they just don't seem to be as reliable as the one you took in. They probably are but.... Anyway this week I got lucky. I was given a chevy lumina with over 140,000 miles on it. (I have had this one before) How do I consider this lucky? Uncle was in the Bahama's with his kids so I got to drive his black crossfire. Boy did I make that car look good :). It was a fun little car to drive. The first day I dropped the top and got to about hwy 21 and it started pouring down rain. That was not fun. It was okay till I got stuck behind a semi getting off of the hwy to go to work. Then I was getting soaked. I stopped to put fuel into the car and couldnot get it to start again. Finally I figured out that the gas door was not completely shut. After I fixed that problem, I started it up and drove on into work. The second day the crossfire was a whole lot more fun than the first. I seriously enjoy having the ability to drop the top and roll. You cannot imagine all of the things you miss while you are driving when you have your top up. Fresh mown grass, horses (yucky) , flowers , the river, and just general things that you don't even realize you would have the time to smell when you are riding along with the a/c going full blast keeping to yourself missing the wonders God has blessed us with. Ok did I forget to mention I was nuts about going around topless? Anyway the best news yet is It was a minor repair to Ms. Libby and I only had to keep the crossfire two days. When I went to pick up the libby. They had changed the E.G.R. Module and discovered she had the wrong E.C.M. (engine control module) on her. She runs better now than she did the day I brought her home from the dealer.

Today we walked down to the bottom of the hill and watched daddy cut down a tree. When he was done cutting Sami said, Wow wee" . She also tried to help him clean up the mess he had made. She was trying to pick up branches that were as big around as she was and much longer. Some of them were so heavy I couldn't lift them. She would try her best. She would strain and moan and do whatever she could to fet them off of the ground and when she could not get them up she would look at me and say "up up up" So I would take her hand and walk her to a branch she could pick up and let her carry that over to about 20 ft from the fire then let gampa throw it in for her. She was so cute. Finally she tried to pick up the majority of the tree that was still uncut and move it. When she couldn't move it she turned around and used it for a seat.

When we were done with the tree and our nap, Gampa got cleaned up and we went to the mall. We made an impulse stop on the way to the mall at Toys r us. We bought a bike seat for me, a carrier for the back of daddy's bike for sami and a pair of roller skates for Sami. I think the roller skates may take a better mom than I am to be able to not hold her breath every time Sami is in them. It may be ok though. Who knows. she actually did pretty good on them down in the basement.
Any way we are gonna try to make it to sunday school in the morning so I need to hit the sack.
