The life and adventures of Blubicon...

This is the Story of my life. WIth some gaps. Major and minor. I don't blog every day. I blog when the feelings hit me. I write about me, about my daughter, about books I read and love. I blog about whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like blogging. I love the act of putting "pen to paper" or rather of putting fingers to keys.

Anne Rice

If I had to choose a favorite author I believe it would be Anne Rice. I have read all but one of her novels and it is sitting waiting for me to pick it up and read it. She is a wonderful writer. I can't think of anyone else who opens my imagination the way that she does. She makes a person feel right at home in one of her books. I imagine her most famous book would be "Interview with a Vampire"

Ms. Rice has outdone herself with her latest novel. I picked it up when I was walking through the bookstore last friday. I have read it twice since then. I can't tell you when I have ever read another book twice, especially not in a little over one week. I usually don't even read a book a week anymore. This one I have made time for. Her newest novel is
"Christ the Lord Out of Egypt" I saw the title and the first thought that came into my head is wow Jesus and Vampires, this ought to be fun. But this book is so not what I thought. It brings the boy Jesus to life. It makes Him seem more like you and I. I cannot tell you why I like this book so much, but I do. I would say if I could only have one book to last me till the day I die, this would be it.
sweet dreams

Yes I will try to remember to bring it sunday. If i forget I will make the long long long long walk back home and get it for you. Have you read Iris Johansens' No one to trust? or The Search? I have both of those I can put my hands on. I may have others. Not sure where I would have put them though.

I think I may still have them, but I thought I did ship them back to you or bring them back last December. If not, I still have them in a box ready to ship back to you. You can get them in July if I still have them.

I'm now onto Kim Harrison. Very strange, but very good books!

I think I have read the search. For some reason that sounds familiar. I would however like to borrow the other one if you don't mind. I LOVE her books!
