Just life
It has been a few days since I wrote anything anywhere. I am feeling the need to put pen to paper. Of course, this isn't pen to paper it is fingers to keys but hey what can I say. It sort of fills this void.
I am reading a booklet on Cervical cancer. It is actually interesting. I got a kit from www.makethe connection.org to make a bracelet for the cause. For every bracelet kit ordered Merck will donate one dollar to CRPF. They will donate up to $100,000 , for cervical cnacer awareness and screening programs among medically underserved women. So now I read the pamplet, made the bracelet and threw it into a drawer. I hope my dollar went to a girl who needs it.
What else have I done with my life? Not much really. Sami had swimming lessons Monday night. She held on to me for dear life. She was cute though. Yesterday we went back to the YMCA for a second dip in the pool. It was much more fun. A lady that is an instructer there, not Sami's teacher, told me to go get a life belt from off the wall and tie it around Sami. It helped her feel a bit more secure. She actually let go of me a little. She held onto my thumbs and stood on my knees and we played motor boat all through the shallow end of the pool.
We should be at the Y now, but Sami was just to sleepy to go. She ended up taking another nap about 30 min after she got up. Her eyes were just so tired. I hope she is happier when she wakes up.
I ordered my stampin up stuff for the month. It is my month to "host" the party with the 6 girls. I get the free stuff from this month. and a lot of free stuff it is. This month if you order $50 you get a free stamp set. I really like the rubber stamping stuff. It is great. I really enjoy making cards and scrap booking. It is a very relaxing thing for me to do. I am trying to design a closet for my new room that has shelves just for scrapbooking and stamping supplies. I can't wait to get it built. I keep begging my tax forms to come in so I can get my money back. I hope I can get them done as soon as possible so I can invest that money and then build a room with it. I want blue carpet, a window seat and closet space for my clothes and my stamp stuff. I also want to use My great great grandmothers bed in there. It is beautiful Granny actually left it for Karen so someday I may have to give it up. I have been sleeping on it off and on for the last 7 years though so I think it should be officially mine. :) I am sure Karen will use her smart woman skills and take it away from me if she decides she has room for it or needs it. I actually have a bed that matches my furniture, but I don't really like the furniture. I was a great price. and it kindof matched mom's stuff in her sewing room so I went with it. Maybe I can strip it down and paint it a brighter color like cherry or something that matches the bed when the time comes. Now that would be funny. Me painting something like furniture. So now I have rattled your head off about some things that mean absolutely nothing to anyone but me, but isn't that the fun of blogging?
Hopefully this week I will have time to go sell some of my camera equipment. I need to get rid of it. I would like to buy the new pentax camera that is a 10 mega pixel camera but I think I will just stock the money away for my room. I don't really expect to get much out of it. If I do sell it though I will be spending less on insurance.
